Rain Garden Information

31481 Old Ocean City Road, Salisbury, MD 21804
Two rain gardens were planted with the help of Beaver Run Elementary School after-school students, staff, and volunteers as part of a complete landscaping & revitalization plan for their central courtyard. The gardens were located in partial shade near existing downspouts and planted with native species including Gaura, Rudbeckia, Eupatorium, Silene, Polystichium acrostichoides, Tradescantia, Sisyrinchium Suwanee, Phlox, Iris versicolor, and Panicum. This project was completed through partnership of the Lower Shore Land Trust with funding from the Chesapeake Bay Trust.
