Rain Garden Information

The rain garden, located at the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve at St.Johns Reserve, was planned, designed and installed back behind the dorm rooms of the facility by an AmeriCorps NCCC team in Spring 2010. The plants are all native and include: Black eye Susan, Joe Pye weed, Milkweed, Butterflyweed, Wild Columbine, Blueflag Iris, Cardinal Flower, Little blue stem, and Ironweed.
