Rain Garden Information

Bellevue State Park, 800 Carr Rd., Wilmington, DE 19809
This rain garden is located near the stables. The need for the garden is because of erosion occuring in the path between the paddocks. After the first heavy rain, the staff determined the need to install 200' of perforated pipe that drains into a 5'x5'x6' deep french drain. The plants in the garden are all native and include Winterberry, Blue Lobelia, Nodding Onion, Horsetail Milkweed, Bluebird Aster, Northern Sea Oats, Sneezeweed, and Blue Paradise Phlox.
