Rain Garden Information

338 Rosemary Avenue, Ambler, PA 19002
Our rain garden has been planted with dozens of native perennials, including bee balm, cardinal flower, lobelia, swamp milkweed, blazing star, columbine, joe pye weed, black-eyed susan, coneflower and butterfly weed. We also included four shrub species (spicebush, highbush blueberry, winterberry holly and red osier dogwood) and one tree species (river birch). Overall, in designing our garden, we were interested in detaining rain water and increasing the number of native plants on our property, but we also wanted to provide habitat for pollinators.
